I have just looked at the donations you have given and I am amazed at the total amount so far. Many of the donations are from people that I do not know; presumably you are friends met by Barbara in her long teaching career.From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Since Barbara's heart attack about 15 years ago, we have regularly donated to BHF. For those who do not the circumstances, we both caught the mild form of Corvid-19, with symptoms appearing on 16th March. We started to recover on the 24th. Within 24 hours Barbara started to develop a cough, which gradually worsened and we phoned 999 on the Saturday morning (March 28th - our 50th wedding anniversary). She was admitted into Basildon Hospital immediately with pneumonia and died on the evening of April 2nd.
